Keep the indoor temperature steady. Big swings, such as switching the AC off in an empty property, damage timber faster than stable conditions.

Dust with a slightly damp, lint-free microfiber cloth, then dry the surface. Avoid ammonia-based and harsh chemical cleaners on wood finishes.

Manage direct sunlight. UV can visibly fade veneer, timber and fabric within a single UAE summer; motorized curtains automate the shading.

Use coasters and mats. Water rings and heat marks are avoidable damage, even on sealed, high-quality finishes.

Lubricate hinge pivots and runner tracks about once a year with a light silicone-based product — not oil, which attracts dust.

Keep enclosed wardrobes dry with silica gel packs or a small dehumidifier to reduce the mildew risk to timber and stored clothing.
DIY Care or a Professional Visit?
Dusting, gentle cleaning, coasters, shading and the yearly lubrication are all fine to handle yourself. Book an assessment when you see structural movement: a door that no longer closes flush, a gap opening at a joint, or veneer lifting across a panel. Checking first keeps a repairable issue from becoming a replacement.
